Bursary policy
Participation in national and international library and information events is an important way of sharing evidence-based library and information practice, raising the profile of health librarians, and engaging in continuing professional development (CPD). The HSLG Committee will provide funding to support attendance at relevant events subject to meeting eligibility criteria, assessment of application, and the availability of funding. Events may include conferences, forums, courses or other CPD events of relevance to health librarians and information specialists.
Primary eligibility for all funding awards
Applicants must be registered members of the LAI and HSLG and be resident in Ireland.
For more information on eligibility criteria, and to apply for a bursary please see the policy and form document:
Note: The ‘Bernard Barrett Bursary‘ is a special award specifically to enable members from across Ireland to attend the HSLG annual conference or other relevant HSLG events. Members may apply for funds to cover the registration fee and/or travel expenses.
